What will Dave be playing on his tour???

Please, give me some help on this, I guess the newly released stuff, but does anyone know about any other material or give me a "Study Sheet" I truthfully have listened to almost all the Floyd, and the bootlegs, but never Dave himself, or his past albums. Thanks Floydians.

Incuding new stuff, I wouldn't be suprised if he played: soycd, wywh, high hopes, money, some things off his solos, and it would be dank to encore with run like hell.

I think it will be very similar to the live DVD in 2002.

Yeah, I'd recommend you get that and the new album if you want a pretty comprehensive sampler of his new repertoire... "Run Like Hell" seems a very unlikely choice for a closer, since it's really just a showpiece for pyrotechnical theatrics that Dave doesn't seem interested in using anymore. But that's just conjecture.

Yep. Even if the line-up for this tour is more rock oriented than the acoustic ensemble of the DVD. I hope he's going to include a couple of Wright classics, having Richard on board. And no, I wouldn't bet on Run Like Hell, but he seems to be particularly fond of that song for some reason, so you never know. Anyway I hope David and Richard remember what they did in concert back in 1970 - 1971 when they're going to play Fat Old Sun!

The short answer is, no-one knows what he'll be playing.

There are some hints that he might play a song or two from previous solo albums, so if you want to sing along your best bet would be to buy his solo stuff.

Indeed, Near the end is a cracking song.

Those harmonies towards the end (pardon the pun) leading to the guitar solo are sublime.

If you've seen his website / blog, there are a lot of people asking for that tune.

Dear Floydians, Thanks you so much for the input. I'd love Fat old Sun, and on Floyds' April 14, 1994, San Diego Concert, ready for those who missed it- THEY PLAYED ASTRONOMY DOMINE!!!! I think they played astronomy domine at most, if not all, of the 1994 shows.

I know it won't happen, but I wish he would play "Hey You."

I really like how the double-tracked acoustic guitar blends with (fades out) as the electric guitar takes over and then he hits that note - a note that only BDG can make sound that way. Like my signature says..."BDG can do more..."


I believe this tour will give him the forum he needs for playing things from his back catalogue...and Rick's...and...

Damn - the show is still almost two months away!

Yeah...I'd count that solo effort among his best...one of the many truely brilliant moments in his career.

Two months for you...over three for me! DAMN IT!!!
