Information on Pink Floyd Album

The disc Maxium Floyd states that a Pink Floyd Album was to be released in 2001. I'am new to the website and would like to know why this new material was never released. A new generation needs to be exposed to Pink Floyd. It would help in this day and time in history. I have seen David Gilmore's comment on the subject but most people work until they are 65 and Mr. Gilmore is doing a tour of great music at this time. Thanks! Pink Floyd Rules!

Well unfortunately there is no new Pink Floyd album in the works.
However the good news is Dave Gilmour has released a new album "On An Island"

Echoes was indeed released in 2001. The original poster stated he thought "new material" was to be made avaliable.

2001 minus 7 years = 1994 = The Division Bell
1994 minus 7 years = 1987 = A Momentary Lapse of Reason

So following this projection, another album of significance will be released in two years' time.
