Good work. Except for the spelling of Britain (Brittain). Very interesting site.

Nice site, but the whole Wall thing is a bit overdone on the internet.

Jem, I notice you mention how Mr. Wright got pushed out of the band. As an example of how the work changes with his influence, you may wish to point out ITAOT--to my ear, it is quite different. Your site is well-designed, by the way!

FloydWright, I've noticed you mentioning Rick's playing on ITAOT before, but I was wondering, since as we know The Wall has plenty of sessionmen performing on it, do you refer to the live version or was the keyboard part already performed by Rick in the album, too? Cheers *Which One's Pink?*

I believe (from what I hear) that the studio version has a lot of session people on it, though I think Mr. Wright says he did get some parts taped on that album. But ITAOT is clearly him playing (or at least playing in the lead capacity). The result is two VERY different sounds, with the latter being (IMHO) much closer to "classic" Floyd. That's the contrast I'm trying to point out. _________________ "And with these words I can see Clear through the clouds that covered me Just give it time then speak my name Now we can hear ourselves again..."

I'll agree that ITAOT is a much better album than the studio version, but Mr. Wright is not solely responsible.

i don't even listen to the studio one anymore since i got ITAOT. its just so much better and one reason for that is the keyboards. definitley.

I am just wondering what anyone think of the second side of the wall except for comfortably Numb and Hey you, Run like hell I don't much care for it, Vera LYNN IS OKAY but i think the first side is definitely better, and that doesn't matter if it is the live version or the studio version both are good, some differences in how the songs are sung which is always fun!
