Re: Roger Waters tour!!!!

i def have to agree with cool blue. the first, and hopefully not my last time of seeing a member of floyd play some outstanding music. def one of the highlights of my life, and a gig i seriously do not think could be beaten. the gig and the music represented so much to me, as it does to many people all over the world and on the dark side of the moon too. shame it had to end...next gotta see gilmour!

Hey BoaB, wasn't PP Arnold who sang Great Gig?

And BTW great review!

Re: Roger Waters tour!!!!

In Oslo Carol Kenyon sang "Great Gig", Katie Kissoon sang on "Mother" while P.P. Arnold sang on "Perfect Sense". I think they've did it like that on all the tour. But I've seen somewhere they've done a change on "Leaving Beirut" after the Oslo show. Now Andy play a guitar solo where Ian Ritchie previously had a saxophone solo.

Hmm...as I said somewhere in my review, I was too far back to make out who the performers were - besides Roger, Nick, AFL or Snowy, all persons I know by apearance - and I couldn't tell you which was definitely Carol, PP or Katie.

I settled on Carol after reading others' reviews of the show by people who seem to know who sang what, and which was which.

If it was PP Arnold on ATD, then as Hove says, she definitely sang with Roger on Perfect Sense, but otherwise, I am not certain. All I know is this lady, whoever she is, can sing Great Gig in the Sky very well indeed. Duffman says, "Oh yeah!"

Re: Roger Waters tour!!!!

Just started 'Wish you were here' with a moved Roger who dedicated the song to the man who inspired that. Syd. Extraordinary scat solo in Dave' style.
Rog's voice is really goooooooooood!!!

Re: Roger Waters tour!!!!

No worries - am happy to share this with you as well - I took the opportunity to water the balcony flowers and foliage. They've been through a lot of heat and light today and are promised more of the same tomorrow.
