He's penalizing his audience for an issue which they may not even have a say in. Why should they have to go elsewhere for a concert they assumed would be in tel aviv? They shouldn't have to move one inch away from the originally intended area. Waters wants to make a political statement? Fine. Just don't hurt the fans in the process.

Isnt he laying on buses etc so everyone can still go?

Another Palestinian terrorist blew up a cafe today in Tel Aviv killing 9 people and wounding dozens. Is that the "struggle for freedom" Rog is supporting?

I'm very disappointed in his decision to sell out to terrorist pressure.

Like I said, they shouldn't have to move an inch, evne if transportation is provided. I'm sure many of them will have problems traversing, considering the youth population attending. I'd get my refund.

He is moving the site to a neutral place. Thats not a cop out! Thats Waters thinking about peace. Its his personal choice for a new site.

He wants a split audience. Its an olive branch and political statement. All previous ticket holders will be honoured and buses are available.

Standing your ground in Tel Aviv until you are blue in the face is all fine and dandy and Bush's way of during things, but it does F*ck all. For the last 20 years Waters has been very outspoken about the standing your ground until you are blue in the face, because he knows it does F*ck all. So I think you are gravely mistaken of his motives here. This concert has been brewing into a bitter mess since the last month, and the fire is only being fueled by religion tensions there.

So rather than be an idiot, Waters has moved the location. Not to an Israeli locale, and not to a Palestinian locale but a split between the populations. And this will be a loud focus of the show. Him saying "C'mon, stop acting like a bunch of stupid Bush's and work out a solution to your troubles!"

The only pro-Pal thing Waters is doing is asking that The Wall be torn down, and thats based on his personal beliefs. Just like he has personal beliefs on every other political wall in the world, except China's Great Wall.

Maybe this is not the best example of Ghandi's ideas at work, but its a start, and I applaude Waters for his attempt. I just can't see for the life of me how he is abandoning his fans, by making this move and statement for peace???????????

When did Mr David Gilmour move a concert because of political issues? Since you so clearly asked if people were mistaking Waters for Gilmour, or were you so small minded that you drew a parallell from a small tour to this?

sorry Melo.. i forgot to add on the point that Gilmour is not political like Waters. It was not a comparison of tours or anything. My mistake there, hadn't noticed my mistake until you pointed it out.
