Re: Roger Waters tour!!!!

Regardless of whether or not Rog follows suit with Echoes specifically, hopefully he will be inspired to include, as Dave has, some of the older Floyd catalog rather than his own solo...uh, crap.

Re: Roger Waters tour!!!!

I saw Roger in San Francisco a few years ago and was mesmerized. I saw Pink Floyd in New Orleans in '94 and thought I had died and gone to heaven.

Now I am going to see Rog in L.A. and San Francisco. Tickets are $36-$260 in L.A. I don't know how much for S.F. yet.

I am so excited, if only Pink Floyd would do one more tour....

Blame Canada. I payed $60 for the Amsterdam show. But it was worth at least $200. It's very difficult to get a ticket for Roger in Oslo this summer, but if my only possibility on the concert day is to pay $200, I'll definitively do it. An alternative is travelling to Stavanger because the venue is bigger and the price is probably lower. I'm still angry at my self that I didn't go to the concert Roger had in Oslo four years ago.

I agree the original is the best complete version, although some parts of David's version and some parts of the old live versions maybe are better. But to be there when David, Rick and the great band played it live is a completely different and much more magical experience than listening in some headphones.

Roger has said that he will do some old stuff that he never has performed live before. But his solo stuff isn't crap. I think the songs from ATD he played on his last tour was great. Hopefully he will play some new songs as well. (Each Small Candle)

Rogers solo music is far from crap. Pros And Cons and Amuzed To Death are 2 of my favorite albums. There's some great blues and jazz to Pros and Amuzed is a musical beauty.

Congrats!

I didn't get any. It was impossible to come through the lines early today. Afterwards I didn't had time to check out. 21.000 tickets sold out after a few hours. I'll hopefully find a criminal way to get a ticket to the Oslo show.

Re: Roger Waters tour!!!!

Is anyone interested in buying some tickets to the Magny Cours show (the one Nick is playing at) I've got two sets of the concert + grand prix tickets and there's no way I'm going to be able to make it (I live in the U.S. and my vacation plans fell through). I'd like to sell them for their list price but as desparation sets in I'm sure I can probably be talked down. Anybody interested?

Re: Roger Waters tour!!!!

Snowy's solo's are boring compared to what Gilmour does. It's even better to LISTEN to that Boyle Graham II dude - Only thing that's negative about him is his chewing-gum attitude

Haven't heard or seen anything from the new guitarist, but it can't get worse than Graham II visually...:p

I got tickets for two Waters-shows this summer, and the last Gilmour show in London! And I was at the Gilmour gig in Paris in march.

yayyy!

This year is gonna be a good candidate for the best year in my life:P

So really nobody is interested in Magny Cours tickets? I'm going to put them on ebay this weekend otherwise.

I'm one who is happy to see Snowy in the lineup. Whether or not he is "boring" is subjective,
but I am a big fan of his.

If you're referring to Andy Fairweather-Low, he's hardly "the new guitarist".

Re: Roger Waters tour!!!!

It's good to have Snowy playing some of the guitar parts because he IS different than Gilmour. It's better than having only one guitarist who just does a mediocre impersonation of Gilmour.
