Visiting London

I will be in London this weekend. I am wondering if anybody can suggest any Floyd landmarks I should visit. I plan on going to visit Abbey Road Studio... Anything else? Also, if there are any places non-Floydian I outta see, let me know... I hope I put this in the right forum...

Re: Visiting London

Well, London officially kicks ass.... I was very impressed with how nice the people (most) were, and I got many compliments on my Pink Floyd shirts and jacket. So much beauty and history... 3 days was not enough, I shall return soon!!!!

Re: Visiting London

I hope there wasn't much time spent on sleeping; you could do that when you return home.

My big brother came over once for just three days and he tried, in vain, to indulge in sleeping off "jet lag" (yeah right, from just travelling from East Coast USA) but I kept him on the move and, frankly, walked him more in those three days than I am sure my gasoline-addicted brother walked in all the previous three years.

Touring London properly would take more than three WEEKS so next time, hoping there is a next time, plan for much longer and try to actually get out of "Old Smoke" to see more of the rest of the Southeast or further afield if possible. You can get to most anywhere else in less than a day and can fly or get a sleeper train to Scotland. As a suggestion, East Anglia (Norwich, Cambridge, Peterborough, Diss) can be left until the very last or out completely - just IMHO.
