Beethoven was born in Germany. He means classics composers, like Mozart, Haydn, Wagner or Schubert.

Re: new kid

For the first time ever I will get the chance to see Roger W. live and I am very excited, I don't know what to expect. The gig is gonna be in Athens round the 20th of June -really soon- and my mate in Greece is taking care of the tickets thats why I don't know excact date.
Dudes! It all comes down to this. I hope he plays mostly Pink Floyd songs or his experimental ones......music for the body or...something experimental bro. There are some artists out there that still do it, play with it. Steve Hillage for example aka System 7. (see http://www.a-wave.com/system7/
Certainly interesting, a bit extreme but better than try to finish a rock opera for years. (try to latterally finish it - experiment ).
On the other hand a saw a glimpse of goodness and forgiveness in his eyes at the aid-the labour- gig, something that Gilmour lacked. Not very Christian behaviour mr. Gilmour! Though Waters seemed rather cheerful. Will he be as cheerfull in Athens then **** it whatever he plays.

Something I want to point out though. The ticket price man...50 euro plus. Actually that is the reason why I am wondering if its gonna be good enough.
I hope I was entertaining !! BOOM !!

There are some mighty strange people in NYC who might take advantage of you!

Thankyou for the the advice TF, however the wearing of a dress ( other than a kilt) is strictly reserved for the confines of the barracks on the occasion of regimental dinners. NYC holds no worries, its a well known fact that if you can walk down Union St in Aberdeen on a Saturday night, dodging drunks and flying bottles, then you can go anywhere in the world without any fears whatsoever! We also have a good selection of weirdos over here, and Im well used to dealing with them. I have developed a scowl over the years which can put the fear of death up some folks...I don't know why?
I laughed at the thought of my 'young uns' going on holiday ( vacation in American speak....see Im practicing already) as my young uns are now 20 and 21! Long time since they came on holidays with me and Mrs E.

Nope ..its Butch Cassidy and Sundance who will be steppin out in NYC.

Re: new kid

That reminds me of a trip I took to the Big Apple. Standing on the steps of the library, a gentleman asked me to stand still so he could see if he could shoot me with a water pistol from where he was standing. This was the oddest thing ever requested of me. A grown man asking, "let's see if I can shoot you from here?"

Needless to say, a stern "no" sent him packing.
