This is gonna be different without Lars. None of the other mods are around as much. See ya later man! By the way, in regards to other shit on this site, I think you did an excellent job.

Re: Deranged's Retirement

Trust me, as a former moderator, Deranged will find his retirement a lucky break and will discover other things in REAL LIFE that are probably more beneificial than spending time moderating these boards. Look, I know that seems highly improbable, but stranger things have happened at sea.

Good luck to him, I say, and all that sail on him.

What is this "real life" you speak about?

You mean to tell me life extends beyond my monitor?? What a nut!

Re: Deranged's Retirement

It's when your brain is pushed to the absolute limit and working on full capacity and you become so sharp you easily find answers to questions from years ago. You finally realise that what you believed for years is in fact a lie, you finally see how it really is. It's when you go into a higher level and everything becomes clear. You see the lies, you face the truth. You can finally define it, for the first time you face the facts and fully understand it. It might be painful at times, but that is sometimes the way with truth. Suddenly things are clear, suddenly you see how things REALLY are, you are finally in complete understanding of it all. That my friend, is REAL LIFE.

Re: Deranged's Retirement

Is my post really that complicated? Remember kids, it is not a load of bollocks it's simply hard to understand for the outsider. I'll make the wise decision and not go on about it too much, all I'll say is that one of the things it tries to say is; this world is a load of bollocks. In many ways it just makes no sense at all, from a young age certain things get shoved through your throat which are labeled ''normal''. Many of these normal things everyone considers normal because they were taught that they were are really a load of bollocks and really abnormal once you take a realistic look at them. Anyone still awake? What I say is absolute truth and I fully understood ''truth'' for the first time when I had my brains ''geared up'', things became clear like never before and I learned about how it was and really should be. Once my brains went back to normal these things were still relevant and they have been for me ever since.

Re: Deranged's Retirement

It's a bit of an extreme comparison but in some ways it does show similarities, for instance in the fact that human beings are taught to believe in things that are lies. But you know what, I'll just shut up about it because I know that no one including myself is interested in this shite anyway. I now seem some sort of psychotic delusional idiot, I know. I shouldn't have mentioned it, forget about it.

Re: Deranged's Retirement

I think that insights gained during periods of altered consciousness tend to be less revelatory and more delusional. That said, Hesse agreed with you; so did Yeats and Coleridge. Hesse's Journey to the East is relevant. Modern writers like R. A. Wilson also agree with you, though he's a pretty well-established loon.

To me, the health risks seem extreme, and the return doubtful.

Re: Deranged's Retirement

Ok, to give everyone a slight idea of what I'm on about I will give a small example. Laws, the law system in a for instance America often makes no real sense. Some things are legal while others aren't, I'll give no examples of this but it often occurs that it is just bollocks that it is the way it is. If one would consider the FACTS, one would know that this isn't realistic. What is concidered legal is in the end much worse than what is considered illegal, and that is something that is unacceptable for any country that wants to consider itself credible. The whole law system needs to be reviewed by someone who is actually able to remain OBJECTIVE and look at the facts this time. Not only America has this problem btw but my own country also for instance, probably every country. The laws etc are often based on bollocks instead of truth, it shouldn't be that way.
