Even though, we could say that the band passed through different "faces" (the syd times, the roger times, the dave times) and that TFC is really alike to the wall but to me its not that good, or that AMLOR or TDB have a very similar sound, but really in the deep theyre are all different, and this enormous variety is what makes me interested in PF, it is what makes me love and identify with PF.
i cant imagine a PF with same sound and records... not to critisize ACDC, cause i do like it alot, but that band had same sound year after year (though that sound IS the sound of hard rock)...
but to me PF is much more than a rock band.. it could be said to be a cult or dont know what else,.. but PF is in fact a band for really knowers (and i say this because in my opinion PF is not one of those band that you buy one famoues record from then and you like it i think PF is to really know the meaning, the reason, the beginning, the end), its a band thats much more than The Wall/Another Brick in the W. or a prism reflecting the colors of the light,or than the song WYWH or that band of the big pigs and colorful lights... PF is the band,... is a band that for me is more than i could have ever imagined, that could be the REAL PF....
Floyd's category inside prog rock is Space rock... and the first time i saw it i completely agreed.. because i thought: "yeah.. that's it.. PF makes me feel like if i was on the dark side of the moon, or in another galaxy, or very near the stars,...dunno what exactly but very far from here flying"...

So the real pink floyd the one band that started with syd ideas and passed through stages and that ended in an album that was million of light years away from the Piper at the Gates of D. .. and indeed thats is true they had nothing to do with each other..
but its also true that of "million of lights years away" cause to me pink floyd from the beginning went out from earth and made a space trip from the start (PATGOD) to the end (TDB), and we love and appreciate the "astronauts" and their discoverys, (now im very inspired) .. and i know also that one of those tripulants never got down from the spaceship, and i know although he is still in earth, he keeps travelling through the stars (a true man to admire in my opinion...if we could only know what went and what is goinf through his mind)... those TRUE 5 Floydians and thier work will never be forgotten by me, by floydians, by mankind, and by their alien friends they made on their trip.....
i know there will never be something like this...

well i hope that the ones that read this can identify with PF the same way as I, and leave their opinion.. (if not, well dont judge negatively just respect my point of view)

*note: by talking about space trips and all that i DONT want to express or say that PF work was drug oriented, cause thats false.. i instead say that its mastermind oriented, its points of view and i say that they just had no limits to their thoughts and sights and really expressed themselves, they talked with the brain and also with the heart (contrasting other musicians...)
