On an Island

Hi im new to this site.
I've loved Pink FLoyd for a few years now so ya im new to liking Pink Floyd too. Im curios about the new David Gilmour Cd On an Island if you have it already can you give me your opinion before i buy it.

What is the bonus song?

"Island Jam", the same one that was available for free on DG's website, apparently.

Is it available elsewhere? I have the new cd w/o that track. I refuse to buy the CD again!

That sort or marketing really sucks IMHO!

It isn't clear. David Gilmour official website reiterated that there's only one edition of the album, so no special or limited edition whatsoever should exist, according to them.
Also, I think that if such limited edition exist you could buy it almost anywhere. Anyway, I am surprised that Island Jam didn't get any official release on disc, it's a cool track, I thought it would have been included on the single.

If someone does buy the cd at Best Buy and gets the bonus song, they can post a link for anyone to download. There's no harm that could come to anyone for that.

Actually, it's illegal to share copyrighted material.

I don't think its copyrighted material. At least its not officially licensed by Gilmour, Best Buy just wrapped the bonus disc in plastic along with the actual CD. maybe you're right, but it didn't sound like it would be copyrighted.

If it's being officially released by Best Buy, you can rest assured that it's copyrighted. But please, try and limit this discussion to the David Gilmour forum.
