How could a floyd fan badmouth gilmour so much? do you hate him all together now just because he kept the band going without roger and they were still succesfull?

The way some poeple post on here you would think pink floyd was roger waters with 3 session musicians!

I was just asking a straightforward question, Ablaze... no need to get all touchy about it. If you do in fact have a rational explanation for the ghostly stick figures who don't appear to be doing anything, then by all means share it with us. "Island Jam" is a very pleasant blues tune, I just don't see what the point of all the video effects are.

Pink Floyd have always done strange things like flying pigs and 200 beds on the album covers, so I can't understand why someone think an animated guitar guy is strange.

It seems BDG is quite upset with what he calls "So-called Floyd Fans" for selling his 2006/05 tour tickets on e-Bay.
While he does promote Polly Samsons new book

Why are you bothering as moderator if you have such a low opinion of DG?
Lets face it for all of Rogers lyrical talents, without first Syd and then David, it is unlikely he would have reached the same heights on his own and vice versa. PF were a BAND, not a collection of solo artists, and as a BAND they were unique.

Bye the bye, although About Face was hardly the best album ever, I can think of at least one other that was equally mediocre (in my opinion) Radio Kaos.

What does this have to do with David's solo antics? I'm the first to admit that Roger is not always an impeccable source of terrific music, but his best work ranks up with his old band's, whereas David-led efforts have been okay at best and horrendous at worst (especially under the Pink Floyd banner).

I would say a momentary lapse and division bell beat radio kaos, and the pro's and cons. I quite like amused to death, but it still lacks without gilmours guitar, ricks keyboards and nicks drums, an album like the division bell has these, so i wont say its not as good as roger solo albums (including the final cut) just because it doesnt have his words.

Not denying that the division bell does have a couple of embarassing moments though, im thinking coming back to life (although it had good guitar work) and 'take it back'.
