I must admit I really haven't listened to On an Island much lately but last friday I was on the beach and spun the new Dave disc and it was the most relaxed i felt all summer. i zonked from the end of the second track until i awoke with the Backround of crashin' waves and the final song Where we start was just closin out.

Well, I think we need a serious Floyd discussion to help this forum away from all the cheese.

Who is doing the "Take a Deep Breath Now" intro on "Take a Breath"? On the sleeve notes David Gilmour is the only one who is credited with vocals. But I don't think it's him. I believe it is Guy Pratt. He does it live, and he plays bass on the album version. Or maybe it's a one of the guys from Echo and the Bunnymen. Who do you think it is?

Surprisingly, BDG's last album came 40 somethingth in the Q mag 100 best of the year.
