maybe its just me but it sounds kind of like you dip into the solo for Another Brick II towards the end of the recording. other than that it isnt bad, maybe a little disjointed and not up to speed, but keep up the good work

It's good playing but your guitar sounds out of tune.

You sound like Roger (guitar hero) Waters himself.

Well the 1st CN solo is pretty easy.
But you play the Money solo (the second half) pretty well. Good stuff.

Well, someone already beat me to it, but yeah the CN solo is out of tune. Money sounds great though. Just as impressive is the guitar tone you got there. Care to share with us what all you are using on that solo? (gear)

Re: My version of comf-numb... please listen

haha GEAR!!???

A line 6 amp. No pedals. And a quite amazing Parker Hornet PM20.
And it was recorded with a COMPUTER MIC about 2 inches away from the speaker. The other shit is just my keyboard hooked up into the computer.
All 'mixed' via cakewalk (a 20 dollar program)... there was no editing afterwards, just layered tracks.

And to those of you that said that the first solo sounds like shit....
GOOD LUCK recreating a SLOW gilmour solo. The 2nd solo in CN is SO easy. But in the first one, there are little things that you have to get down (like for example in one part you bend up two frets, then on the way down hit the note, hit it again and pull off to a half-step lower.)

There are SO many ways that you can do the slow solos, like slide or bend or hammer... you really have to listen closely to EXACTLY what he is doing, becuase if you bend when he slides it wont sound the same and you will hear the difference (i will, atleast).

I guarantee that if my guitar was in tune it would sound much better.

Re: My version of comf-numb... please listen

I am by no means an expert, but 2 areas of the solo kindof hit me wrong. 1st, the lead in to the first note. I like to hit a series of muted strings going into it. 2nd, the last part where you BEND the 14th string from 15 back down to 14...I always play 15-14-12, etc. Maybe this is just the way Ive always played it so it sounds right to me. Dont mean to be too picky, you did a good job, but if you care to discuss further I'd like to. It is a solo thats difficult not because of speed or awkward scales....it has to do with technique. The second solo is easier, in my opinion, bcause when you play this song you know EVERYONE is listening for things in the 1st solo. The second solo you can screw around with more.
