Some friends of mine drove to Phili for the game. I guess they were part of the hated, chanting Mets fans. But please, the Sal Fasano fan club? The have to more annoying. It was actually a good one at the end but Billy pulled through for us.

Stratty and NNJ:

I'm from NY and I don't like the Yankees. I never cred much about abseball anyways.

My beloved Sabres went down - hard

The Bills? Well, we don't know about that yet but their prospects don't seem that good this year with the list of injuries.

Y'all have nothing to complain about

I always found the Bills to be the most depressing team in all of sports.

Losing 4 superbowls in a row is tough to live with.

To add insult to injury, Mark: Top of the 9th and Mets are up 9 to 3.

Phils are sloggin'. Mets are soarin'. Great hockey game tonight anyway as the Edmonton Oilers starved off elimanation with a goal in overtime to keep the Carolina Hurricanes from drinkin' from the Cup. Kudos to Germany and Poland also for a great World Cup game that the Manshaft pulled out with a goal by a sub against the spirited Polish goalkeeper for a 1-0 German victory.

Quite honestly - that Oilers game was something else tonight.

I loved every minute of it

Look for a team called UB Bulls.

Not NFL - it's college football.

See also if you can find a team worse than them in terms of record.

I doubt you will. You see, they were my college team. My collegemates and I only know the shame and embarassment of the UB Bulls.

I wouldn't feel half as bad if I knew how much and how hard they tried. No, I feel miserable because I know the members in detail. A more arrogant, snot-nosed bunch of idiots you won't ever find in a team sport. Everybody is out for glory - nobody gives a shit about "team" play

How can anybody get so fired up about a type of sport where on average, less than nine minutes of actual 'play' occur per game?

It's just bananas!

Thats not true Mark the mental part of the game between the pitcher and the hitter is going on the whole game. Also the catcher is a big part of the game workin' the hitters with the pitcher. Its a very strategic sport. As for the claim that it only is 9 min. of actual playin' time i don't know but when your out there it ain't no 9 min.

Re: Baseball 2006 Any Predictions?

That's right. Baseball has somewhat chess-like multi-layers of strategy.
While there are times of inaction, they can be as exciting and tension-filled as any game on the planet offers.

Right now the Rockies are 40-38 in 2nd place NL West, only 1 game out of first, leading the Seattle Mariners 2-0 (interleague play) in the top of the 9th.

This is the first good season for the ROX in a long time.
