I'm going to continue to feel weirdly elated because I got an email from the artist who drew the seminal (steady Eddy) 80's comic strip, Halo Jones, a 2000AD strip played out in 3 acts over several years which actually took you to the outer rim (again, save it Axe Victim) of the Galaxy and beyond with the titular heroine.

It was written by Alan Moore (V for Vendetta, From Hell, Dark Knight Returns, Watchman etc) and was bloody excellent, especially for an imaginitive 10+ year old stuck in the then alien confines of Edinburgh.

I'd emailed him from his site just, y'know, not really expecting a response and, brilliantly, actually got a garrulous, chatty one back today.

I'm stoked.
