Re: Tell Us About Your Band

The whole "finding a drummer/replacing the bassist" issue is a big part of why I love my little novelty band. Because our songs aren't serious and are mostly lyric-driven, we can put whatever we want behind them (within reason, of course). We're pretty much two guitars, an electric keyboard, a sax/flute, and whatever I happen to be playing. No stress. Minimal drama. Plus writing a song for two guitars, a flute, a keyboard, and a set of upturned saucepans is a challenge.

Re: Tell Us About Your Band

I am starting a side project with a guy who just left a very prominent band in this area.

We're starting off by making beats and basslines and things of that nature...It's going to be some sort of electronica/hip hop/who knows. I"m excited

Re: Tell Us About Your Band

I kinda have a band.. I play bass, and I know a pianist/keyboardist (he mostly plays his piano) and my friend started guitar a month or two ago. We've only really "practiced" twice. We wanna play blues, but I'm the only one who actually knows how to play the blues. Right now, we're just working on learning PF songs, and some others... yeah. Still looking for a drummer..

And I live in a rich city were everyone listens to rap or emo, and it's relally hard to find good musicians who play good music.

Re: Tell Us About Your Band

I'm in a band too. I play bass, two of my friends play guitar and my friend's friend plays the keyboards. We only play Pink Floyd songs because we're all Floydians and it's difficult to play songs from other bands because an other member could hate it. We're practicing once a week and we're getting pretty good at some songs (Brain Damage, for example). Now we are trying Echoes and Atom Heart Mother. A lot of work. But we have no drummer (drummers are hard to find...) and no one to sing.
