May 2, 1982
Falklands War: Argentine cruiser General Belgrano sunk by British submarine Conqueror, killing more than 350 men, inspiring Roger to write Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Dessert.

May 2, 1335 (later that day)
Duke of Carinthia explains to confused family members that he changed his name because Otto The Merry sounded silly, and made everyone think he was gay. Which he wasn't. But Otto...er...The Duke, assured everyone that even if he were, there was nothing wrong with that. Some of his best friends were gay, he further explained.
