Re: NHL Thread I hate Crosby too but he is a great player What about how that game ended with the Penguins storming the net one last time. I miss Hockey already. Great Season and Playoffs Someday (in my lifetime) I wish to see my Flyers hoist that Cup in our fair city again(the last time was Back to Back in 73/74-74/75)Was it really that long ago? Yes I was still in Grade school Anyway Congrats to the Red Wings and The Pens

Re: NHL Thread As much as I wanted the Pens to win, the best team all year long prevailed as they should have. I'm not worried, the Penguins have so much young talent I expect several titles down the road. There's no need to hate Crosby, it's not his fault he gets all that attention. Blame the media, not the player.

Re: NHL Thread Awesome news for Hamiltonians. I wonder if they'll keep the Coyotes name (not many of those in Ontario I'm afraid) or revert back to being the Jets just to rub it in Winnipeg's face. Eat it Winnipeg!

CFTO had a poll today about team being in Toronto>>>I can't see Maple Leafs signing off on that...they can block any team within 100 miles, which would include Hamilton... |

Re: NHL Thread Maybe I'm cryin' cause my Flyer's went out with barely a wimper. But does anyone else feel the NHL is just trying to make it easy for the European players to excel. I for one like the Canadien/American style over the international/Olympic/European version. Nothing against that version of the sport but why should the NHL change for the foreign players instead of the other way around. I the end i must say that the NHL is going to lose alot of fans with the neverending trips to the penelty boxs for marginal penelties. It has become a special teams sport and now more than ever the Zebra's can control the game and its outcome. If they take fighting out I for one am OUTTA Here!!!!. The most defensless player the(Goalie) is aloud to get run over and no penelty is called. While some joker fishes the puck out of the corner with his head down like he's in the Ice Capades or some crap and gets his head rammed into the boards and the assaliant gets suspended for 10 games. In a few years there will be no more Richards,Jones,or Parent's. It will be all Malkin's and Kovulchuk's and Zetterbergs. If you look it already is almost all Europeans. Good Riddance with your version of Hockey. keep the olympics in the Olympics and leave our sport alone. I don't even care who hoists the cup at the end this year. They should call it the World Cup Hockey Tourney and just get it over with. BLAAAHHHHHHHHHH I said enuff already.
