Pens 11-1 in playoffs, up 3-0 on Flyers. Its not lookin good for your team Mark, especially with all the bad luck they have had recently(e.g. the guy getting hit in the face with the puck). I'm just happy that my team in a professional sport is actually doing well, which has not happened for me in a few years.

Good Luck Pens against the Red Wings. I'll take the Pens in 6. Great Season Flyers you just are gettin' beat by a better team. Compared to last years worst record in NHL its been a blast. Thanks for a great Season. I hope they win tomorrow and don't get swept.

I was impressed by the Flyers last game to not give up. They showed a lot of heart and outplayed the Pens for most of the game. Hopefully the Pens will get their act together today. Every game in the series has been very entertaining, as rivalry games usually are.

The last 2 games, Dallas has showed why no team can give up, even if down 3-0. I've got my fingers crossed for an upset in that series.

I try to tell them it's actually a British contraction of Association ("soca") Football and not an American invention but will they listen?.

They probably wont listen BoaB..no one ever listens to me when I tell them about my time in the Sudan...the heat... the flies..anyway I shall make a point of telling anyone that you didn't invent the word soccer....I shall drop it into the conversation at dinner parties..very subtle...almost casual..pass the Port old chap...what do you fancy for Ascot...did you know that the Americans did not invent the word soccer...that kind of thing...anyway you didn't answer my question

Hi Eddy,

The "Crosby" in that last post of mine referred to a player in the National Hockey League by the name of Sidney Crosby. Sidney Crosby has no relation to Bill Crosby - at least not that I know off....

Sidney Crosby is a "forward" - a position similar in soccer - for the team Pittsburg Penguins. The Penguins recently lost the The Stanley Cup to the Detroit Redwings.

I'm just venting my frustration because over the past couple years every Tom, Dick and Harry associated with the NHL 've been parroting Sid Crosby as the next best thing since sliced bread.

I don't hate Sidney Crosby. He's a very talented lad, no doubt. But this auto-fellatio at "his name" has gone a mite too far...
