Went to Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps last week, which was enjoyable, and I wanna get out and see the Facebook-founding caper The Social Network this weekend. In preparation, I just re-watched David Fincher's first movie, Alien 3.

I recently rented all three movies from the Millenium Trilogy by Steig Larsson:

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The Girl Who Played with Fire
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest

why isn't Noomi Rapace up a Academy Award??? she was mesmerizing...
rape scene looked very real and very disturbing...

the thing that drove my wife crazy was her chain smoke thru all three movies made her want a cig every time Lisbeth Salander lite one up!!!

for people who can't stand sub-titles, the same director who made The Social Network will be releasing a US version of the TGWPWF in Dec 11'...

I really liked the first one but the Robert Shaw-esque big blonde hard as nails bloke in the 2nd one was a bit too James Bond-y for my tastes. I also thought that the lezzer scene was a touch salacious and frankly unnecessary*.

I'm sure Fincher'll ace it, but hopefully not lose any of the Euro-purity of the original.
