Last Movie Thread

I got a crazy idea from the last album thread that maybe we should have a last movie thread. Name the last movie you saw (In theatres or not, doesn't matter), and if you want to, share your feelings on it.

Mine: "Thank You For Smoking"

Re: Last Movie Thread

Please, do we really need another one of these threads? Nothing personal, nal, sorry, but we already have a thread about films, I don't know what the others think but I think that's enough frankly.

We actually have several threads about films.
Already people aren't following ther directions of this thread--including the creator.

I think trying to police new threads is hopeless.

Re: Last Movie Thread

We also have several threads on albums, but nobody got pissy about "The Last Album thread". We have a favorite/least favorite movie thread, and about 50 on The Wall. We also have like 5 different "Top 10 albums of all time threads" out there, so I'm sorry if I don't see what the big deal is with this one. I also don't see how I am not following the rules of it, since I did mention the last movie I saw, and that was really the only rule I had set. Aside from that I have just been trying to explain myself to you guys.

last movie I saw: "Outside Providence"

Re: Last Movie Thread

I just watched "House of Wax". A pretty decent modernization of an old classic. A lot gorier and gooier than the original, but fun.

Best part: Paris Hilton takes a spear through the skull.

Is that the one with Frankie and Annette all grown up? Had some wonderful cameos with people like Pee Wee Herman? If so, it is a great fucking movie.

Actually you'll find that most of us do get pissy with most of the threads you mentioned. What exactly is the use of a thread where all you do is list movies without giving a review or some sort of opinion on it?

At least the Fave/Least Fave I can get something out of.

what is up with the anal fascination with only having one thread on a particular topic? I mean really is it necessary to have one topic per idea? is another thread really going to be that much of a problem? Is it really going to present a considerably greater strain on the server than just loading one thread with millions of replies that might not have any cohesive structure? whats . . . uh . . . the deal? Methinks its sort of a Grand Old Boys thingy, the idealogy that what has been posted in the past is somehow the end all be all in the land of this forum, a forum that isnt as active as many I frequent. Instead of having an attitude that all new thoughts and ideas should be embraced it seems to this lone soldier that on the contrary fresh takes are nothing but a nuisance. Why not let those old threads go and fade into the past? Is the future that scary of a proposition? Is the past so euphoric that one should strive to cling to it without concern of what is now or what may be? Why not just let all the duplicate threads be, welcome them and new members? The strain on the server can be allieviated by deleting all of the old threads that do nothing but embrace a hollow sunken image of what was but will never be again. Breathe life into this corpse instead of continuously pumping embalming fluid into a cadaver. Is this really that radical of an idea? Is this more earth shattering than a Spanish explorer making the claim that he believed despite all scientific data suggesting otherwise that the world was indeed round? I say lets turn the page, close the door and march forth confident in the future. Leave the past where it belongs . . . dead.

that said the last movie I have seen is Blow and it made me crave cocaine like nothing else . . .
