Teach me how to play Hammond

Hey. I bought a "hammond" organ a while back ago, and I finally grew some balls to sit down and play. I've been playing bass on a daily basis for about eight or nine years, and know how to play it pretty well. I can also play guitar.

I have a good ear for notes, but I have no idea where the keys are on an organ, and what "grips" I should take to get the different chords.

So, does anybody out there play piano or organand have the energy to teach a newbie how to play some Floyd tunes?

A little question to finish the post: Is it Rich Wright that plays Hammond on In the flesh(?) ?

If I were you I'd find an online keyboard layout, which is nice and logical compared to a guitar fretboard. So, since you play guitar and know chord structure, simply use the logical thumb and finger placements to push the different keys within the chord (usually triads)

I can play any chord or melody easily on a piano, but I just can't do it with both hands at the same time.

Yeah, there are a couple of inversion "shapes" for each chord, but it's not as complex as it looks.

Was at the Waters' concert here in Stavanger yesterday, and I just gotta tell you how fun it is to see Harry Waters up there on the same stage as his father. Harry sure knows how to play the Hammond, but he has some problems doing the GGiTS intro When everyone went on stage and Harry started the intro to In The Flesh, every hair on my body was standing

I have a Hammond organ (an M3) and trying to teach myself to play it is kinda hard. But I'm decent.
