Talking wish y'all were here...

just sitting here listening to Atom Heart Mother and thought I woudl say HI

The first floyd album I ever saw was Obscured by Clouds. My brother bought it before going to a concert in Providence RI, when we lived there. I was 12 at the time. After that I just got into Floyd a lot, as well as ELP.

My best Christmas gift of all time was the Shine On box set. I dig the book.

One night I had to build out a room from bare drywall to paneling, baseboards and fixtures. I set Meddle on repeat and 18 hours later I had a nice room for my wife's birthday party.

If I had to pick one song that was my favorite, I would have to pick 3
Biding my time, I like the bluesy sound
Shine on you Crazy Diamond, cause David really paints a great picture
Comfortably Numb, cause it kinda really fits
I currently live in Stuart Florida and still enjoy my Floyd collection. I have been through three hurricanes here (Frances, Jeanne and Wilma) But I was really disappointed that Floyd took a right hand turn and missed me. That should have been my cane.

A big hello to bradfoot, welcome to the site!
18 hours of Meddle....blimey!! OBC is a great album, as is AHM.....so is DSOTM, DB.....oh, they're all good in one way or another. Anyway have fun on the site, however before you get into some serious posting, it's best to read the rules and guidelines. A wizard read, and bags of fun for all the family. Guaranteed you will be comatose in ten minutes. I would also suggest using the search engine before you start any threads, as most subjects have been done to death...believe me they have!!
Anyway, get stuck in, see ya around. If you get stuck holler and one of these nice folks will help you out.
