| Pink Floyd Reunion Will Happen? I dont know if this info has been posted yet ( I havent been on in awile) but I was on Ultimate guitar and it sead .. If drummer Nick Mason can convince co-frontmen Roger Waters and David Gilmour to put their differences aside -- Pink Floyd will reform for one last tour, suggests NME.com. Rumours were rife that the classic line-up would get together for some dates after they appeared together onstage for the first time in 25 years at last summer's Live 8 concert in London's Hyde Park (read related story on UG) However, Gilmour, who recently topped the UK album chart with his "On An Island" LP, has repeatedly stated he isn't interested in a full-time reformation. On his recent UK tour, however, he featured a number of Floyd classics in his set. Waters, meanwhile, has been pressing ahead with his own plans -- and will perform the Floyd classic "Dark Side Of The Moon" in full in London's Hyde Park on July 1, with help from Mason. In the long-term, Mason is convinced that Gilmour and Waters can put their differences aside and get together one more time. He told the Daily Express: "I've just finished playing with David at his recent solo concerts and I'm about to play a show with Roger. I call myself the Henry Kissinger of Pink Floyd!" He added: "I'd love for it to happen again ad I really do think Pink Floyd will play together again - but it would have to be for love, not money."

| Re: Pink Floyd Reunion Will Happen? yeh but Gilmour specifically said he didnt want to do it. Although what does sound promising is that gilmour invited waters to play in the encores for the final night of his albert hall shows AND waters has invited gilmour to play dark side with him. So they are obviously far more chummy than they have been in the past 20 years which is always a promising sign |

| Re: Pink Floyd Reunion Will Happen? fleeting glimpse ( http://www.pinkfloydz.com/ )- ok fine not concrete evidence but they do state that they have received information from a very good source that not only was nick invited on the final albert hall date but also waters but that he declined from tiredness and the fact that he was starting his own tour the next day or two |

| Re: Pink Floyd Reunion Will Happen? I thought at the moment it was more about getting Gilmour in the mood to be a Floyd again rather than getting he and Waters together. Hasn't Roger said he isn't totally opposed to Pink Floyd playing again whereas Gilmour is more against it? |

In fact the main problem is that Gilmour in this moment doesn't want to be Pink Floyd, neither the three nor the four of them. Mason himself said in various occasions that the only reason the band doesn't reunite in any form is just David Gilmour.

| Re: Pink Floyd Reunion Will Happen? Dave and Rogers tours both playing large amounts of the floyd back catalogue. Its all some kind of extravagant rehearsal for a huge Floyd tour I think the definition should be made between the Floyd reuniting and just performing again for whatever reason/cause on a casual basis. Reuniting suggests another album which IMHO will never happen as Rog and Dave would not be able to work together in a creative way due to their beliefs, politics, outlooks on life and general way of working and IIRC Rog has said as much. Although I don't think anyone has specifically ruled out another Live 8 type coming together

| Re: Pink Floyd Reunion Will Happen? I believe more a final farewell show than a tour, like live8 and if this happens, I will do everything to be there!

| Re: Pink Floyd Reunion Will Happen? Gilmore never said that would Pink Floyd would never play together again. He said they would never tour. He say that if they got back together, it would be for another charity event or something like that. It would be a 1 or 2 show kind of thing, and I am pretty sure that it will happen in the future. But...they will NEVER tour together and they will NEVER make another album together....EVER!
