Hiya VeraKelley...you first.

No? Okay, to get us rolling, my stupendous thrill got from this double album was the happy chance to see it performed Live at Earl's Court, London in '81.

You are probably the only one here who doesn't know this bit of trivia as I've been harping on about it for ***king years...I mean years.

Enjoy, share, welcome.

Vera, BoaB is not lucky at all. Don't you know that he's an honorary member of the glorius 'Unholy Trinity of the Aged'?

Honorary member ?!?! He's one of the FOUNDING members of that illustrious group (also known by several other names which I can't remember due to my own advanced years...)

Meanwhile...back on topic...

VeraKelley, I used to listen to The Wall almost exclusively when it was released (I was in high school and it resonated with my adolescent hormonal mood swings), but I find as I get older, I rarely listen to it from start to end (as I do Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon). Rather, I listen to the handful of my favorite tracks on my self-made 'Best of Floyd' 5 CD set. My favs are Nobody Home, Mother, ABitW I and III, Empty Spaces / What Shall We Do Now (live, of course), Goodbye Blue Sky, and of course, Comfortably Numb.

I am attempting to secure permission from Roger's management to direct this as a stage show.

Primarily because I'm sick of waiting for the Broadway production.

Re: The Wall: Anything And Everything

I spent about a 3-month stretch in 1990 where I listened to The Wall every day at work. Then, I would follow it up with either The Final Cut or Radio KAOS.

I haven't listened to any one of those albums straight thru since then.

Yeah, VeraKelley - we all love Stratters! He's a top-notch guy, one helluva guitar player, and lives in the greatest state in the USA.

Ah man, *blush* you're embarrassing me.

You are certainly right about the "greatest state" thing, however!

Re: The Wall: Anything And Everything

For a month or so I would listen to The Wall once after school and again later that night but now I am really enjoying listening to Animals at least once a day. Stratman mentioned Radio kaos and I am sad to say I never got that or heard anything from it. Is it worth checking out? The only two songs I like from The Wall are Comfortably Numb and Nobody Home I suppose there are a few other songs I might listen to. Also I am not a huge waters fan which is the reason I haven't gotten any of his solo work.
