Very interesting. This kind of stuff fascinates me.

I just looked at the site on Google Earth and can see the symmetrical layout of the ruins of the old fort.

I was just reading that Ft. Churchill was also a Pony Express station. When I was young I used to hunt arrowheads at a place called "Fish Springs" in Utah, south of the Bonneville Salt Flats, which was also a Pony Express Station. It is an oasis out in the middle of the desert where the Goshute Indians hunted waterfowl, etc before the Pony Express took over the area.

Some things are so grotesque, they go full circle and become beautiful. Unfortunately, the 60-62 Valiant was the Elephant Man of automotive styling.

But still way cool.

EDIT: T says that, since you're so obsessed over it, I should ship it off to your place in NC & put it up on concrete blocks in your front yard. Y'know, for the symmetry.
