At first before I became a floyd nut and bought all their albums, I didn't know if Pink Floyd was a guy or a band. I used to think when roger sang it was gilmour and when gilmour sang it was roger. When I bought the division bell I thought roger was still a part of the band. What a stupid I can be

I remember the days when I referred to Pink Floyd as the pronoun "he".

I was in love with Pink Floyd for 3 months before I found out that Roger had left in 1985. It hit me hard!(for about a week too!) That's how you feel when you get sadly attached to a band.

Madcap--you're not the ONLY one...

Only less than two years ago did *I* find out exactly how bad the breakup was. I just about cried for the pain Mr. Wright must've gone through. I really did feel awful about it!

"The day the music died..."

But thank goodness it came back to life. That was a brave thing to do--to go back after those rough experiences.

Sometimes for me, it's "once burned, twice shy." So I admire it when people are brave enough not to succumb to this.

I thought that Rick Wright was Syd and I didn't know at all who sang there. I remembered some bearded and long-haired guys from somewhere but that was all. And when I first listened to DSOTM, I thought it was something awfully. What a mistake!

Before I actually paid attention to who was singing, I thought Mr. Wright sang lead on PULSE. (He DOES in a few places...but I thought he did everything.)

i used to hate floyd. i thought their music made no sense and it was just a waste of records and cd's. my dad would always listen to it and watch the pulse video and id be like dad this is crap.

one day though i just started liking it for no reason. My first album was pulse and i never even knew the band players names and who Syd was. I learned all about it after like three years. My second album was the wall live and it sounded all sweet. from then on floyd is like a part of life for me. i took up guitar cause of them and i prob dont go a day without listenen to shine on or time or any other song.
