I used to think that Roger Waters was Syd Barrett... and that The Wall had been released in 1990. And you?

I thought Roger did all the singing while he was in the band and that Dave just did a very good impression of him on Pulse.

i didnt kno who sang at all, all i knew was there was dave gilmour and he played the guitar and i wasnt sure what roger did. i also used to think time was the greatest song in the world, its still one of my favs but nothing compares to echoes. i used to and still do think they are geniouses.

this is pretty weird, have a cigar JUST came on the radio, i rarely listen to the radio and whenever i turn it on, they always happen to play a floyd song

PULSE was my very first Floyd album, which will explain the following: when I first got The Wall, I couldn't figure out what had happened to Mr. Gilmour's voice until I heard "The Thin Ice."

But THIS one is REALLY embarrassing, in light of later events...

When I first heard "Wearing the Inside Out", I thought Mr. Gilmour sang the whole thing and there had been some SERIOUS editing/effects added in the studio. I loved the song. But I had a VERY wrong idea about it!

THAT is MORTIFYING to think about now, even though I'd been very Floyd-ignorant at the time!

I thought the teacher yelling at the end of ABITW pt 2 was accidentally recorded when they were laying down the song.

I was confused about singing as well, I had no idea who sang what, was it one person all the time or was it more. I knew Syd sang on the first album, that's all.
My first Floyd was Delicate Sound... and I must admit that I saw no difference in song's quality between side A (most from AMLOR) and side 2 (great classics). I though all songs were written by the same people.
