Hows about a thread about Floyd cover bands?

People could talk about their fave Floyd cover bands or ones that they've seen that are terrible. Best looking sounding Floyd alikes in the bands that sort of thing.

The Machine is a very good Floyd cover band but I don't of any others.

Perhaps I'm confused. Are you asking if there should be a cover band forum, containing, say, one thread per tribute band?

I suppose it would mainly depend on interest - myself, I'm a fan of classic Pink Floyd. I don't really care one way or t'other about seeing people play their music. But I have no objection to it.

On the other hand, a single thread may be enough, and one could start that at any time.

there are literally scores of tribs out there...I'm not saying that they're all good, but some are stellar...The Australian Pink Floyd Show, The Machine(US), Beyond The Darkside(UK), Which One's Pink(LA), The Surrogate Band(MI) and of course,Childhood's End(Central NY) to mention a few...these guys are out there carrying on a tradition night after night...within and around these bands you'll find some of the most devoted fans of The Floyd in the world (IMHO)...if you've never had the chance to see Floyd live, or even if you have, these may be the closest thing to the real thing...they take what they do seriously as they try to continue the legacy of the music we all love so much, so get out there and support them! Help us all out and review a show you see and maybe more people will get out and have some fun!
