Another issue is the dilution of the Floyd legacy. A tour without a New Album makes them look like the Eagles and their farewell tour. Now here's the idea. Waters goes on solo tour (massive tour) just like the pulse concerts. BEsides singing his solo work he also plays his PF songs. The band includes Renwick, Snowy White, and Carin among the usual members. Gilmour, Wright and Mason play along during the floyd songs. The ads read: Roger Waters: In Concert with Gilmour, Wright and Mason. Of course the radio stations would just say: A pink Floyd Concert but it doesnt matter how you spin it it will sell out everywhere. Next Gilmour goes on solo tour (massive tour) just like the pulse concerts. Besides singing his solo work he also plays his PF songs. The band includes Renwick, Snowy White, and Carin among the usual members. Waters, Wright and Mason play along during the floyd songs. The ads read: David Gilmour: In Concert with Waters, Wright and Mason. Of course the radio stations would just say: A pink Floyd Concert but it doesnt matter how you spin it it will sell out everywhere. So PF makes Millions, we get to see PF and the public can't say that PF reunited for the money and that the legacy has been tarnished by $$ etc. Gilmour may not get along with Waters but he would only play during Floyd songs, and he would know that when his Tour gets started, the other 3 members would make him millions. Now I don't think Richard Wright has enough solo material for a 30 min concert and Mason, well, he's just along for the ride. I know I am a genious.

Maybe Billions who knows. A world tour could make them more money than they could ever dream of.

Re: Idea Gilmour/Waters tour Money doesn't seem to be the incentive that will get them together. If Syd's passing doesn't, heaven only knows what, if anything, will.

Re: Idea Gilmour/Waters tour Gasp! Easy, IPCS, just take posts like the one you are objecting to with a pinch of salt, please, and try not to come off as the bad guy by resorting to personal abuse. It's a pointless game you don't HAVE to play; am slowly re-learning this lesson today, myself.

Re: Idea Gilmour/Waters tour well i think that Pink floyd in a world tour would make BILLIONS...they would become the richest musicians in the year of the tour... i just have my little candle lighted up hoping a reunion which i can go will occur, and i dont think the press nor the fans will see it as gilmour says: just a need for money and that stuff... everyone would give it the highest possitive opinion to the tour...cum on who would like the greatest band in the world to do one last tour (if john n george where alive who wouldnt want them from reuniting), like Eagles but this REALLYbeing last world tour (but just dont announce it like that nor last nor farewell) just once more for everyone that loves the band......and prices could stop from to going way too high... and whats wrong with a reunion with the 3 guys you spent most of ur lifetime.... and Gilmour has to understand this: He will always be Pink Floyd, cause PF was his life band, was the band of his heart and creation... although he goes solo or even if he would try to make a new band...he will be Pink Floyd...hopefully he wants to stay that way and reunite the band... and its amazing the four guys Waters, Mason, Wright n Gimour (also syd but ..hes gone Last edited by hoan_rulz; 08-09-2006 at 01:09 PM.
