Re: A little Help Cabinets just aint my thing. Too little knowledge about it to give a decent reply. Oh well, ill do it since you bumped it.. Ehm, or not. I seriously don't know.. Mojo Tone cabinets are suppose to be very good for the price. But they dont seem to be that cheap. Loads of people use them small Marshall cabinets. Anyway, I recommend buying used. http://www.gilmourish.com/?page_id=70 Here's some information about what speakers Gilmour use.. Might be way to expensive for you.. How much are you spending? And what sound are you wanting? And what amp do you have?

Re: A little Help The only guitar amp cabinet I've pugged into was my son-in-law's Peavey. It sounded awesome to me, but I have no others to compare it with. And guitar tone is SO subjective. I'm reluctant to advise folks on things to buy, 'cause if they don't like it, I end up the asshole.

Re: A little Help Stratman is right, tone is so subjective. What sounds awesome to me may sound horrible to you. That said the only advice I can add is that whatever it is you buy you must, must, must play it yourself with one of your guitars. Go to your local store with one of your Telecasters and plug in and see what suits your taste the most. We really cant help you decide on tone.

Re: A little Help Cabs do determine tone and the size of the drivers contribute to volume, but it's all subject to the signal generated from the amp. What type of amp do you use? If the Tonemaster you speak of has the amp incorperated in it, then technically it's not a cabinet but a combo amp. In a true cabinet the amp head is seperate. Assuming you have a decent amp head, I like Marshall and Crate cabs. I have both. The Marshall has excellent clairity, even at high volume due mosty to the 12" drivers. The Crate has a bit "dirtier" sound at high volume, but with 10" drivers (4 of 'em) it's sounds great at mid volumes in smaller venues. I use a Crate BV120 head on both. My main playing partner uses an Orange cab with a Vox head, sounds awesome.
