My father had a tape with "Money" in his car. After listening to it three times, I went and bought the DSOTM. I was 15.

I've heard some good reviews, they seem to be a bit under-appreciated on this forum though.

My friend's dad, about six or seven years ago. He had just bought a copy of PULSE, he had to order it in and it took three months to arrive. He told me to listen to it, and so the first song I heard was SOYCD, and I instantly fell in love with it, it's still my favourite song of all time.

After I was done talking to her, the search que was still filled out, and I downloaded it...and at first I shut it off right away becasue I didn't like the way the guitar sounded..

But then one rainy day, I listened to the whole song and figured it wasn't so bad. Then I went out and bought Echoes and I've just been getting their albums ever since
More importantly...did it get you a shag?

From the parents, of course. None of my friends have even heard of the Floyd other than from me...it's so sad.

Whilst I knew a few of their songs from my Father, it was the member known as Driven that led me to a true appreciation of the Floyd. This was achieved by lending me Pulse and forcing me to listen to them at ear shattering volume whenever we got drunk - a daily event.

We live at opposite ends of the same building and have combined to made life deeply uncomfortable for anyone who doesn't enjoy listening to us getting very drunk and playing Pink Floyd at ear-shattering volume. I just need a better stereo so as to reach that little area in the centre of the building which is still relatively quiet....
