Re: Steve Irwin RIP

He died what he loved doing most.

I will miss his near-childlike enthusiasm and love of animals and our planet.

The world is a poorer, gloomier, sadder place with his passing.
My heart goes out to his family.

I understand that this is somewhat of a rude shock and national tragedy for Oz. My condolences for Ozlanders...

This is really to bad he just had a child a year or 2 ago did he not, i hate to hear about kids that lose their parents when they barely get to know them. Steve was a great man, he brought alot of understanding to the animal world for us all.

Re: Steve Irwin RIP

The whole country's in mourning.
I don't think any of us realised how much he did for wildlife conservation.
One can only hope his legacy lives on through his children.

Truly a great Australian

I hope he's resting peacefully in crocy heaven

Re: Steve Irwin RIP

Yes, I heard about this the other day and it's very very troubling.

It's a stark reminder of the mortality of all of us...I honestly could never have imagine him actually dying that way. As crazy as it sounds, he seemed immortal. Like...he was a part of folklore almost.

Re: Steve Irwin RIP

Life is sad.

People die every day.

Everyone hurts.

May you rest in peace, Steve.

Re: Steve Irwin RIP

Heard his Dad turned down a state funeral.

Said he was sure his son would be aghast and would rather have been remembered as an 'ordinary bloke'.
