Assuming the other four members are still alive, what do you speculate will happen?

The fans will cry, there will be a small report on tv about it, and the band will release a couple of statements and that will b the end of it. The record companies will try and make what money they can by releasing some kind of Syd comilation and thats it, Syd will become just a memory, a ledgend, a rock star to be talked about for yrs to come and then my movie about him will come out!

cheers

I do not think it will repair the PF situation.

They will all make their speeches--Mr. Waters insisting on arranging it so he doesn't even have to SEE the others. He'll be genuinely upset, no doubt about it! But it will not overcome what was done, as much as we'd like to romanticise it.

I would LOVE to be proven wrong, of course.

But I think the damage was just too great.

It's highly unlikely that Syd will die any time soon. I'm sure that if he were to die first, it wouldn't really matter, because the rest of them would be so old anyways. This whole situation is highly unlikely anyways, given that Syd is the youngest of the bunch.

I think when Syd dies (hope that thing ain't gonna happen soon), the fans will be the "only" ones who'll cry for him. I don't think anyone else would be interested in it. The only thing I know for sure: I'd listen to Shine On and other Syd (or Syd related)songs till my pain goes (at least a bit) away...
