Re: instrumentals?

Little Wing is good... for those of you who like Hendrix songs played like Jimi WISHED he could have, listen to Paul Gilbert's cover of "Midnight". You can probably find it on AudioGalaxy--It smokes.

Yeah i think that song is pretty good in the way it always manages to get me in a good mood if I'm grumpy! usually after putting a Marrilion track on!!!!!!

but they (Marillion b4 Hogarth replaced Dick) are good i must say...

the only other good thing in Scotland (fish/Derek Dick) next to the signpost to England,Irn-Bru and fish suppers (not incl. going down on dodgy fat scots lasses)!!!! only joking to all you Sweaty Socks out there!!!

You're probably right. In the context of 34 years ago, JH was without peer. But 34 years ago, no one could have imagined a human playing like Paul Gilbert.

Re: instrumentals?

Has anybody heard of a group called Medeski Martin & Wood? They're this acid funk jazz improv group, and they whip some serious arse. And it's pretty much all instrumentals, theres rarely any words. Memories...I went to a show a while back and they boogied out this huge jam of Hendrix's Fire...it was heaven.

Re: instrumentals?

'Orion' off of Master of Puppets. It's obviously pretty unsophisticated entertainment, but it's as powerful as hell.

Cheers,
