That really awesome one by Radiohead. I'm drawing a complete blank on the name, though. Really descriptive of me, yeah?

I like some ones by Jeff Beck. Ones that readily spring to mind are Angel.

Also, not to miss out are ofcourse SRV, Jaco Pastouris and Pat metheny

Speaking of Jeff Beck, he and Clapton did a number (live) called "Cause We've Ended As Lovers" which is quite moving.

My favorite instrumental is definitely marooned. It's a fifty second friggin guitar solo. How briliant is that? I don't actually know if this has anything to do with the thread, just read the title, and thought I'd mention it.

"One of these days" was good. Most of "Dazed and Confused" is instrumental, so I think it qualifies. "Shadowy men from a Shadowy planet", the people that did the theme for "kids in the hall" have a really good song called, "They don't call 'em chihuahuas anymore."

lots of good recommendations here ^

' beck's bolero ' - jeff beck , sounds grt cranked up loud & features keith moon on drums & yelling

' trademark ' - eric johnson ,...sinatra had that tone, eric has it on the gtr

' marwa blues ' - george harrison

' hocus pocus ' - focus ( does have vocal w/o lyric )

* pls keep them coming
