Hi Melo, lots of young people are using this style of writing, particularly because of their using texts on mobile phone messages. The idea is that it will simplify the message and take fewer letters, for example

r u...instead of are you

c u...instead of see you

m8...instead of mate

there is a whole galaxy of these such simplifications, and as an old fogey who is quite new to message texting I also have difficulty understanding it at times.

I think the problem here is that English is a second language for both Melo and
our new poster.

Yes, I know that, the same happens here in Portugal with the young people, personally I don't like it and I think it's not a good idea young people using this style of writing in everywhere.
