Where are the mods?

Where are the mods?

You hardly see most of them, I'm not round these parts much nowadays and a good few of them seem to be missing too. Aren't they all suppose to be quite active in order to you know moderate things? Seems to be the same people doing all the modding nowadays.

I think some resignations are in order and more active members like Aneurysm and Pinkfloydstar installed.

Have fun.

Re: Where are the mods?

I am sure they are about. Just because they are not actively posting on the boards does not mean they are absent or doing nothing. A lot of modding takes place in the background.

If you feel as strongly about mod resignations, let me suggest you report your apprehensions or complaints to Paulo, The Piper, to see how or what he thinks.

I wonder - being of a suspicious nature - what prompted your post in the first place, and how you come to recommend for mod those whom you suggest.

Being an active member does not automatically translate into that member being suitable for mod duties. You might as well base the issue on post counts, which would be absurd.

What he said...

Actually I'm around once a day, ususally, just to make sure things are in running order. We all have different times in our schedules that allow us time to play around on the net. But we're definitely here, taking care of business.

Well what prompted me was the lack of mod activity round the site.

The names I suggested seem to be two of the most active members over the last few months. Clearly I don't feel strongly about mod resignations because this is the interweb and not real life.

I am now however desperate to know what the mods do in the background, it all sounds very mysterious and intergu..intre.. very mysterious.

oh dearest Chrissie...love of my life....I'm always here for you. As BoaB said, there is a lot which goes on in the background, so it doesn't mean that we aren't around. I usually check in about 3 times a day whilst at work and then heaps of times in the evening whilst surfing on ye olde internet. However unless something grabs my interest, I don't usually comment. As for what goes on in the background......well ...there was the great search for Dr Cheese's missing false teeth...crikey it took ages to find them...turned out Fulghum had been sitting on them.....then there was the struggle getting Botleys hairnet back on...ooh...then there was the problem with Sydneys jar of wrinkle cream...we needed someone with a strong wrist..yup it was Fixxy...how does he have such a strong and well developed wrist? Anyway we have debates, black magic rituals, Morris dancing and cookery sessions in the Moderators Pit. Paulo often pops in with a new recipe for shortbread or sponge fingers.........I hope this helps and please remenber that we are always there for you

bags of hugs

Axie

Re: Where are the mods?

I have a little something to add to this arguement, I agree with everyone on the mod's side. They are proboly around all the time but they don't neccisarilly have post alot. Yet I read Eddy's post and he said he only posts when something catches his intrest, and if thats the case with all the mods then THIS one should deffinately catch thier attenton. So I propose a test. A test that, within the next 2 days or so, all the mods should post here just a simple tiny post that says they come here alot, maybe an example of something they did in the past month or something. And if one of them doesn't answer back, fireing them might be considerd.

Dearest Eduardo,

You're a big man but in bad shape. With me it's a full time job. Now behave yourself.

Love,

Jack
