Re: Wots uh the deal?

I've been neglecting my Floyd responsibilities for awile and just recently found out about Mr.Wright's appearance in Atlanta. I've been researching the subject but I only get fans accounts for what happened and I really want to know the scoop if Roger and Rick talked after the show. It would be a big step for Rog I believe to let it all just end. It's been almost 20 years!

Thought I oughta tear the curtain down!

Hmmm....

If I were 58(Waters) and about to die, I would have a conversation with my enemies!

Too Proud! From what I've read about Wright, he seems like a gentleman.

Peace Out.

Re: Wots uh the deal?

He did. What is very interesting is the account that appeared in the December 1999 MOJO magazine, as opposed to the audience accounts I have heard.

Go down to the FloydWaters Commentary on my page; at the bottom, you will find my section about what happened. Mr. Waters wasn't too nice--and this is twenty years later!!!

http://www.angelfire.com/home/FloydW...ight/main.html

If a THIRD person who was AT the concert and spoke to Mr. Wright can confirm my theory, I would very much appreciate it!

Re: Wots uh the deal?

What a great guy that Rick.......I read Roger's account of the meeting in the Rolling Stone article aswell.....even in reading that Roger seemed like kind of a dick......he said (Just a generalization quote, not word for word)"It looked like Rick had tipped a few before going up to me, He smiled and said Hi and introduced me to his wife. I did the same and that was about it, there was nothing more to say."

Yeah, Littlepiggy...it just seems to me a rather crass thing to do, to blurt something aloud like that even if it crosses your mind; not every single thought that occurs to you absolutely must be expressed. "If you don't have anything NICE to say..."

Re: Wots uh the deal?

Rick was interviewed by a radio station here in town a couple of years ago. He stated that if he saw Roger on the street he would go up to him, offer to buy him a drink and try to sort out their differences. But he said he wouldn't have a reason to just call Roger up and try to sort their differences out.

Actually you quite frightened me there. What with Joe Strummer dying out of the blue, anything could happen. It'd be really sad to see the Floyd die as Roger's enemies.
There's something about Rick that i really like, possibly the fact that he doesn't really seem as bitter about things as Roger or Dave. Come to think of it, Nick's like that too.
Surely they could at least have a final tea party together before they die. They could even come dressed as their wives... [I apologise, they told me not to be so open about my preference for transvestitism [Again, i apologise, sometimes my mind goes of on a tangent, hurtling wildly into oblivion...]...]

That was a ridiculous series of words. Too long for a parenthesis too.
