I like how instead of using "Christmas" in the title you said "JC's b'day". And that album will be great, Bowie's the man, Gilmour's the OTHER man and Rick is a man aswell.

Re: BDG to release SB tracks on JC's b'day

Way to go BDG: available for download on Christmas day and to purchase on the 26th.

Oh, how shortsighted we are, David, to have missed out on the chance to have a Pink Floyd song - for the first time, the only time ever, I think - as the Christmas number 1 single. Not to mention allowing the BBC the opportunity to ban it again, thus ensuring it rockets to the top slot?

Gahh!!!

Why release it on Crimbo day anyway? Was Syd the messiah incognito or something?

p.s. to DeathTongue: did you know they have cancelled Top of the Slops?

Re: BDG to release SB tracks on JC's b'day

Just heard the Live Bowie/Gilmour Arnold Layne recorded, the DJ said, last May.

To be perfectly honest, it's not the best version ever produced, so I probably won't be buying the 3-track Christmas single.

Anyway, they said that the video of this performance would be available for download from around 6PM today (1st December) on BBC Radio 2

There's a sneakily video'd version on Youtube, if you're feeling inclined...

The BBC direct link... though not pro-shot, I still prefer the YouTube'd capture.

Re: BDG to release SB tracks on JC's b'day

I think it's good...not really worth buying though. Has Bowie always sounded a bit drunk live?
