Hi there...

A Pink Floyd fan from birth I was listening to "Not now, John" in the car and I realized that Roger Waters is not the only one singing...David Gilmour is in there too. Until then I was listening to it on an old tape but freshly plugged into my iPod it offered a new perspective. I was tickled pink. Figured I would join a fan forum since my friends and boyfriend were less than impressed with my epiphiny.

So..hi there. I'm Tara from NY and my favorite album is "The Final Cut".

Hi, I'm Brian and I am a fixxlevyaholic. Don't tell him I said that, because that would inflate his giant Scotsman ego even more (and none of us want that, right?)

Better to get that out of the way first thing.

Shit, about 98.6578303% of new members only post once anyway.

Re: Hi there...

Hi there Tara,
Welcome along to the forum. As you can see, its like the Mad Hatters tea party at times. Please feel free to read the rules and guidelines (a wealth of information for the newcomer). You will find that although most of us are barking mad, we’re a very friendly bunch, so dive in and get posting. However please remember and use the ‘search’ button before creating a new thread as most of the subjects have been done to death. Any probs just holler and someone will help.....probably Botley as he's one of the sane ones.
Regards
Axe Victim

Re: Hi there...

"I am fixxlevy. And I see a whole army of my fellow music lovers, here in defiance of lesser music! You have come to interact with each other as Floyd fans. And Floyd fans you are! What will you do without APFFN? Will you fight? Twelve thousand, two hundred and twenty two against billions of pop fans?"
"No! We will turn up our speakers - and live!"
"Yes! Fight and you may be frustrated. Increase the volume and you will live at least awhile. And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here as young(ish) PF fans and tell our Timberlakes, our Britneys, that they may take our lives but they will never take our Floyd-dom!"

Welcome, share and enjoy.

No it isn't, but don't worry, I got 100 in my first week. All of them terrible, too.
