Re: In the Flesh DVD Jon Carin

I know i'm bumping an old post up, but I just got done buying the DVD of (In the Flesh Live) for $15.00. I had never seen it before and even if it's not all that good the 15 I paid will still be worth it for my collection.
Does this DVD rock or no?

Re: In the Flesh DVD Jon Carin

I've been listening to In the Flesh Live very often lately. And it's really great. The more I listen to it, the more I like it.
Some old stuff is amazing: Dogs overall, then Mother, Pigs, Breathe, Time, Money, I like them all very much. I also like some RW solo stuff, Amused to Death for example. But what I like most is the sequel Brain Damage-Eclipse-Comfortably Numb. About CN, I find the final solos very good, expecially the Snowy Whyte parts. Unfortunately the show ends ill because Each Small Candle is rather boring.
What I like least is the Gibson sound (by Snowy White) on the intro of SOYCD. Who the hell decided to use a Gibson on that part? Waters or White himself? If it had been for me, I'd have got onto the stage to take that Gibson and crash it against the heads of them both Then I'd have given White a Fender saying "try this one".

About Jon Carin, I think he is the best musician who has ever appeared in a PF work, maybe even better than Gilmour if you consider that he (Carin) is simply perfect when he plays ANY instruments. What about his lap steel guitar on Breathe? And he is also great when he sings.

Um, don't club me if I'm wrong here, but I was under the impression that Gilmour himself played a Gibson on the studio cut of "Shine On".
