The Greatest Bootleg of Early Floyd Material?

I have heard of a few that stand out, what's your opinion?
I personally believe Rhapsody in Pink (the BBC sessions) is one of the best...does anyone have any better suggestions at all?

The BBC Archives (I'm sure we're talking about the same thing) really is brilliant and fantastic broadcast quality, to boot!

Re: The Greatest Bootleg of Early Floyd Material?

After years of listening to Floyd, I've finally started dabbling with the RoIO thing. I've got a few that are real gems.

I don't know if any of this material is included in the aforementioned ones, but I've got a couple shows from the Paris Cinema in London for the BBC, one from July 1970 and another from September 1971. Also, I've got the Man and the Journey thing from the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on September 17, 1969. The sound quality on this one is astounding. Also, I've got one that's not so early but DSotM live November 1974 at the Empire Pool.

I guess I'm sort of looking for suggestions as well. If there's anything notable I'm missing, or if anyone cares to elaborate on any previously mentioned ones, please do. Also, if you're going to mention the names of live bootlegs please tell me the venue/date of the bootleg along with the name since it makes them easier to keep track of.

Re: The Greatest Bootleg of Early Floyd Material?

The 'Paris Cinema' tracks might actually be off of the BBC Archives/Sessions ROIO mentioned earlier.

Oh nice.

Anyone know what the best RoIO is that contains the precursor Animals tunes? And while we're on the topic of RoIOs... if anyone can comment on the quality of the RW 1985 "Radio City or Bust" that would great. It looks promising, but if the quality is bad, I won't bother trying to track it down.

"Radio City" is a good bootleg, it's from the FM broadcast I believe.

I happen to think that the 28 June 1975 show in Hamilton, Ontario is a good one for "Raving and Drooling" / "You Gotta Be Crazy". I can put the tracks in question on yousendit...

I have a particular affection for The Man and The Journey performances, especially the Complete Concertgebouw, 1969 and the Final Lunacy, at the Royal Albert Hall, 1969.

'Heart Involvement' on Mindwarp I think. 2CD 1970 & 1971 Paris Cinema BBC shows complete with Peel intros and audience. From original soundboard -remastered in stereo. The 1971 show being the stronger show but at least 3 excellent offerings on the other disc.
