Barrett

As the gnome returned home
As the elephant was eaten
As the mouse got a house
As the domine was awaken
As the sea turned to green
As we turned into fishes
As your dreams really mean
As the ride finishes
As we closed our eyes
As you put on your shoes
As you read the lines
As the band got the blues
As all was finally a joke
As the rats layed down
And as the lunatic piper spoke
At the end, no sound.

The piper opened the gates
Which led him to dawn
And the wind whispers his name
As he's laughing on an eiderdown.

He still shines.

Re: Barrett

The title says it all. For those who know Syd's songs, each line is related to something.

No, but Roger Plant was a creative genius. "Tommy" was probably his best rock opera.

I think that you mean 'Ronnie'; about the kid with no legs who "sure (could) play a mean croquet".

Re: Barrett

No way has it been a year. That seems like it just happened 10 or 11 months ago!
