SINTELLINS WOMAN FINDS BRITNEY

The music world was in a state of shock today after the discovery of the pop singer Britney Spears, who was found in the living room of a Sintellins woman.

SHOCK

Mrs Chrissie Trubshaw, (42), made the shock discovery when she moved the sideboard in her living room. “ I had been sitting having a coffee, and a ciggy, after watching a really exhausting episode of Eastenders, when I noticed a bulge at the back of the sideboard. As I had been intending to have a bit of a tidy up after the Christmas festivities, I thought Id better investigate. I was worried in case it was next doors cat, who sometimes nips behind there for a sleep. I had heard the odd noise, similar to a cat being strangled, and it must have been dear old Britney having a sing song to keep her spirits up, but I paid no heed to it.

HAMSTER

Mrs Trubshaw went on to say that she never expected to find Britney Spears nestling down there. She had torn up copies of the Liverpool Echo, and made it into a bed similar to that of hamster. Britney had managed to keep herself alive by eating a packet of lifesavers that she always kept in her pocket for just such an emergency. Britney rationed herself to one lifesaver per day, and she said that was also fortunate that someone had kicked a half bottle of Lambrusco under the sideboard which quenched her thirst. When asked how she thought Britney got there in the first place, Mrs Trubshaw could only theorise that she had got stuck behind there since the ill fated New Years party, which ended in the police and the coastguard being called (see Liverpool Echo Jan 03).

DEMENTED WOMAN

A spokesman for her record company said that they were pleased that Britney had been found, but nobody really missed her in the first place as her records weren’t really selling…apart from a demented Yorkshire woman from Sintellins who was buying them by the car load.
