They could play "Take Up Thy Stethoscope" for 90 minutes and I'd be happy as long as it was those four.

i've been up all nite all watching Live Earth live on CTV in Canada...just finishing up in China and Japan and just getting started in Hamburg with Shakira performing in the rain...

this will be a total music blast for me today, then, one week from today Mr. Botley, myself and about 50,000 other fans will get to see Roger Waters perform DSOTM for most likely the last time at the last stop of the tour in Toronto...

I'll have to admit that if they played a 90 minute versions of "Stethoscope" I would've thought "Why didn't these guy move in to the house of Syd's mother instead?"

Second to last at Giants Stadium I think.

Nick Mason was nowhere to see when Roger Taylor and SOS Allstars opened the London show.

Good Question Melo. Roger should kick Stings ass. Kieth Urban & Alicia Keys just smoked Gimme Shelter.

Roger's 20 minutes were ok, but I don't understand why he wouldn't play Wish You Were Here since Syd died exactly one year ago today.

Re: Live Earth,july 7,2007

The set was good, but it could've been better. It surprised me that he played an instrumental version of In The Flesh. I think it was great that he decided to sing Money himself, but some other changes in the vocal arrangement was not that good. I prefer Brick with Waters and Kilminster singing it together, but the kids was brilliant. On Brain Damage Waters voice was to dominating on the chorus, but maybe it was because of the bad speakers on my TV. I think Roger has a really great band now, especially Kilminster shines. He has been much better since they played their first concert last year. I also think the director of the show was a little bit tired when Roger played. Some strange camera angles when Waters and Carin was singing, and the director showed little interest in the kids on Brick.

Re: Live Earth,july 7,2007

Overall I agree, but I liked how Roger's voice was front and centre. He sounded very strong throughout - particularly on "Money".

Re: Live Earth,july 7,2007

It's just me of course, but I prefer the "In the Flesh Tour" band.
The Italian TV which broadcasted the show started with Money so I missed In the Flesh.
Yes, the set was good but I really expected WYWH, or else CN as the closing song.

after watching CTV in Canada going live from venue to venue for 18 hours they switched to shared feed with NBC at 800ph EST...

instead of staying live with Dave Matthews,Roger Waters and the Police they showed clips from 12 hours before as if anyone would be stupid enough to think a song from Japan could be live at the same time...

While they were interviewing AL Gore you could hear the intro for In The Flesh starting in backround and they went to Jack Johnson in Sydney...he is a great talent, but,i would rather hear anyone live instead of a clip of JJ singing from about 12 hours before...
