Unhappy Paul Newman to retire!

One of Hollywood's best-known stars, veteran actor Paul Newman, says he has given up acting at the age of 82.

I've admired Paul Newman ever since I saw:

That movie has served (and still serves) as a personal inspiration to me on more than one occasion. That and his stellar performance in:

The Hustler.

I'll miss his grace on the silver screen.

Cheers Paul! And many thanks for your wonderful contribution to the screen.

cheers,

Re: Paul Newman to retire!

True story, the guy who now owns the team in Johnstown (named the Chiefs) is local to my area ( he owns a microbrewery and attends the same church I also sometimes attend). The Johnstown Chiefs are not the Charlestown Chiefs (but rather were formed much later and named after the team in Slap Shot). But, if you ever get a chance to see the Chiefs play, it will look eerily familar since Johnstown is where Slap Shot was filmed. I am sure thattony Romo, living just a bit north of me, already knew this though.
