Pink Floyd on Seven Ages of Rock (tv)

Seven Ages of Rock part 2 was on BBC2 last night.
Its repeated tonight (Sunday) on BBC1 I think circa half eleven (check your listings for your area)

Early Pink Floyd came on including promo footage and live shows of Arnold Layne, See Emily Play, Astromine Domine ect.. later they went on briefly to Meddle, a good bit on Dark Side and then focused on The Wall.

Roxy Music, early Genesis and David bowie were also featured.
Last week focused on Hendrix and included Jeff Beck, Yardbirds, Clapton ect.
Next Saturday will be on mid/late 70's Punk if that genre is your schtick.

Seven ages of rock

Pink Floyd parts:
1) http://youtube.com/watch?v=KjpjusFvml0
2) http://youtube.com/watch?v=_Gsnyobxf...elated&search=
3) http://youtube.com/watch?v=u2k5AkrpE...elated&search=

I think the two live snippets is a little bit funny. David plays and sings a little part from Brain Damage while Roger plays and sings a line from Goodbye Cruel World.

Re: Seven ages of rock

Dammit!!! I was meaning to post information about this new TV series.

I didn't even mind the shows modern video interpretations of very early Pink Floyd songs, namely, See Emily Play.

The footage, however, of the band (with Syd) performing the "musical acid trip," Jugband Blues was the highlight of the evening.

I recorded the programme onto videotape and will soon transfer it to DVD. Will find out if it is manageable enough to send out. Watch the skis!!!

You're right. For some reason I forgot to mention it.

A surprisingly knowledgable and respectful treatment of the band's relevant history.

yes I saw that. You see, this is why I hated the news of the original YouTube makers selling out to Google. Google will always follow the law on copyright issues in general.

Saturday had metal on it. Enjoyed Sabbath/Purple bit. I was wondering would they show Van Halen (instead of crappy Motley Crue) but perhaps its on the Arena Rock next week, which will launch with Zep.

Re: Seven ages of rock

Anyone know where I can bittorrent this? I would imagine that copyright laws wouldn't affect me if I can't view it here any other way.

Re: Seven ages of rock

My name is really not a secret, some on here already know, those who don't just don't care. I thought I gave enough hints already in that other thread.

Thanks for the link.

I didn't meant hints. Besides, I already spent 15 minutes on IMDb looking for movies you might have been talking about, I can't figure it out.
