Rumours are that the content was rather sexual. I don't know maybe it's going to be the next Pink Floyd Enigma.

Censorship!!!
If so I object!
If it was copyright off borrowed material that would be understanable.

Re: Special 40th anniversary edition of Piper

Yeah, I think it must have depicted a cut-out of someone or something that couldn't be included for fear of litigation. The book is fantastic, otherwise... lots of excellent unseen photos of the band at work in the studio.

I'm also enjoying the "new" music on Disc 3 (really only two tracks... the alternate versions of "Interstellar" and "Matilda Mother", which are fantastic!)... it's nice to have it all collected in such a nice package nonetheless.

Now, all we need is a similar treatment for A Saucerful of Secrets... it also has a rather different mono mix that very few people have heard, and several B-sides, which need remastering. Although Nick poo-poo'ed the idea this week... maybe we can still convince him somehow. A letter-writing campaign maybe - or perhaps a complete smash success on the part of this release will be enough!

I really dig that "book" packaging. I hope more artists will do what PF and Gilmour have been doing lately. I think this a step back to giving album packaging some meaning, just like the good ol' days.

That would be just GREAT.
The album is absolutely underrated and such edition would be the deserved spotlight.

(PS: God, I admit that I might buy the entire Pink Floyd catalogue reissued that way. Solo albums included.)

I got it the other day and was impressed at the price (only C$28, not much above the cost of a normal CD). Its a great collector piece and I'm glad to own it

Yeah, I was really surprised to see HMV carrying it cheaper than most other retailers.
